O\u2019Leary emphasized that crypto cannot be stopped, stating: <\/strong><strong>\u201cYou either join the wave or get lost.\u201d<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>\u2018Regulations Come, Bitcoin Goes Up\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>Shark Tank star Kevin O\u2019Leary, the chairman of O\u2019Shares Investment Advisers, shared his reason why investors should long bitcoin on the Crypto Banter Youtube channel Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Wonderful explained that there is a bill called the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/bill\/117th-congress\/senate-bill\/3970\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Stablecoin Transparency Act<\/a> that has a chance of getting passed by the U.S. Congress after Nov. 8, when the midterm elections take place. The Shark Tank star explained:<\/p>\n<p>This Act is very simple in nature which is why it may pass. It\u2019s being supported by both parties and the reason that\u2019s the case is that it makes, effectively, the U.S. dollar the default payment system worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>He proceeded to describe why the passing of this Act will boost the price of bitcoin. \u201cEven though it has nothing to do with bitcoin, that will be the first regulation passed by U.S. regulators, and I would argue you want to be long bitcoin going into that outcome,\u201d O\u2019Leary emphasized. \u201cYou\u2019re going to see a lot of interest in institutional capital coming into\u201d stablecoins, he added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf institutions smell policy, then you\u2019ve got a real move up, and that\u2019s when you break out of the $19,000 to $22,000 trading range against the U.S. dollar. I think you will go right through that very quickly,\u201d he opined, elaborating:<\/p>\n<p>So, end of the day, regulations come, bitcoin goes up.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHere is a question for every investor to think about,\u201d O\u2019Leary continued. \u201cThere\u2019s a risk in investing in bitcoin and all crypto. There\u2019s also risks of not investing in it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He elaborated: \u201cBecause if it\u2019s true that crypto becomes the 12th sector of the S&amp;P in the next decade, some of the value in the financial services stocks, like banks, are going to transfer to these new technologies, and you typically don\u2019t know when that\u2019s going to happen.\u201d O\u2019Leary has been saying that he expects crypto to become <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/kevin-oleary-trillions-of-dollars-flood-into-crypto-bitcoin-mining-will-save-the-world\/\">the 12th sector of the S&amp;P<\/a>. \u201cWhat we\u2019re missing is policy. When we get policy and the regulator regulates \u2026 The spigots of capital are going to flood into this sector like you\u2019ve never seen,\u201d he predicted in August.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy thesis is you should have some crypto in your portfolio because you don\u2019t know when that\u2019s going to occur, and if you completely don\u2019t have exposure to it, you may miss participating in the growth of this 12th sector of the S&amp;P which would be a bad outcome for performance,\u201d O\u2019Leary concluded.<\/p>\n<h2>Kevin O\u2019Leary Says You Can\u2019t Stop Crypto and NFTs<\/h2>\n<p>O\u2019Leary also shared why he feels strongly about bitcoin, cryptocurrency, and non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on Linkedin this week.
