Clayton is a blockchain <a href=\"https:\/\/patentico.io\/?p=94\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">project created by Ground X<\/a>, a Kakao affiliate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seo Sang-min, chairman of the Clayton Foundation, made a keynote speech at Korea Blockchain Week 2022 (KBW2022) on the 8th and announced, \u201cWe will launch the Blockchain Research Center (BRC) program with the National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST).\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/patentico.io\/?p=96\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">read more<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>BRC is a virtual research institute that aims to conduct state-of-the-art research on blockchain technology, strengthen blockchain function, and support <a href=\"https:\/\/ist-contract.org\/?p=94\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">industrial growth. Kakao Clayton<\/a> held a BRC contest through the Research Fund (KIR), and 62 research institutes from 11 countries created seven consortiums and competed, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/ist-contract.org\/?p=92\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NUS-KAIST consortium<\/a> was finally selected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Coindesk\u2019s 2021 blockchain university rankings, NUS and KAIST ranked first and 26th, respectively, in the top 30 out of 230 universities around the world. In particular, NUS is said to have expanded its blockchain research ecosystem abundantly, including several blockchain research centers, partnerships, conferences, and master\u2019s programs in digital finance technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The NUS-KAIST consortium is led by Dr. Kang Min-seok of KAIST and Professor Pratek Saxena.
