Italy will tighten regulations by imposing taxes on cryptocurrencies.

Bloomberg reported on the same day that the Italian government plans to impose a 26% capital gains tax on cryptocurrency profits from next year in the budget announced on the 1st (local time). Italy’s budget for next year included a 26% capital gains tax on cryptocurrency if it earned more than 2,000 euros ($2,062). Cryptocurrency has been considered a “foreign currency,” so the tax rate has been low, but it has changed by newly defining the concept of cryptocurrency.
